Our Chairman and founder, Christopher Sleat, began working independently in the late eighties, developing information management strategies and documentation for primarily medical and technical companies. By the early nineties, sole-proprietor, part-time freelance work had evolved into the company then known as Chesapeake Editorial Consultants (CEC).
CEC shifted focus toward systems engineering, with ever-increasing design and management engagements in the mid nineties. CEC quickly gained distinction for creating intuitive, goal-oriented, applications. As the company evolved from information design to systems design, CEC was renamed REALINTERFACE to better reflect the nature and scope of our current offerings.
In the late nineties, REALINTERFACE developed a commodities? trading practice, creating specialized trading applications for wholesale and retail energy companies. As demand for more usable systems increased, so did the REALINTERFACE workload and customer base. Currently this specialized practice works alongside our general design and development practice.
REALINTERFACE brought two unique products to market: DealTikIT and InClinix.
DealTikIT is a web-based application that automates the Energy Deal Process using voice recognition technology to facilitate data input.
InClinix is a clinical trial screening tool that replaces tedious record comparisons with one dynamic questionnaire. Additionally, InClinix has found new application in defense and homeland security as exposure-identification tool for civilian and defense personnel. InClinix screens patients to identify symptoms of exposure to chemical, biological, or nuclear weapons. InClinix allows first responders at home, and field combatants abroad, to quickly ascertain the origin of contamination, identify exposed personnel, and collect data on new agents and threats; all dynamically, in real-time, while in the field.
REALINTERFACE continues to grow and expand into new markets. With a focus on the Federal Government are serving agencies as a sub contractor providing cleared personnel in the areas that include but not limited to Technical Writers; SATCOM Engineers; Systems Engineers; Help Desk; Aviation Safety; Systems Integration; Software Engineers; Systems Administrators; Database Engineers and Administrators. We continue to work with our commercial companies in a variety of industries including: Wholesale & Retail Energy, Commodity Trading, Medical & Pharmaceutical, Information Technology, Web Application Development, Palm/Blackberry Solutions, Enterprise Software, Manufacturing, and Retail.
